Chat Pooja represents art and culture of Bihar. However Chat Pooja is also celebrated in some parts of Uttar Pradesh but it is the most important festival in the Bihar state of India. Chat Pooja celebration comes after the six days of Deepawali. Chat Pooja is dedicated to Lord Sun. Chat Pooja is four day festival. They are
- Nahai Khai first day of Chhat
- Kharna fasting second day of Chhat
- Chhat Sandhya Argh third day of Chhat
- Chhath Sooryodaya Argh fourth day of Chhat
Chat Pooja is also famous in Delhi. Numbers of people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh gather around the ghats in Delhi. Wazirabad, Sonia Vihar, ISBT, ITO, Okhla are the best places for Chat Pooja ghat.
In the year 2009, Chat Pooja will be celebrated on the 24 October.
Chhat Pooja can be write as Chat Pooja, Chath Puja.
