Deepawali festival is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, who is the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Diwali festival falls on the dawn of Ammavaasa in the month Kartik every year. On this festival every home is decorated with flowers & rangolis and in night it is decorated with enlightening Diyas and candles. Chinese bulbs are very popular nowadays and numbers of people use to decorate their home with Chinese Jhalar. People wear new clothes, and exchange gifts &sweets with their relatives and friends. People exchange Diwali wishes using SMS and greetings.
This five day long festival is celebrated with very joy. The first day of this festival is known as Dhanteras. On this day, people buy new utensils to their room. Narakachaturdasi festival is also celebrated on this day. Then comes Choti Diwali and after that main Deepavali comes. On the fourth day, Padwa festival is celebrated and the last day is celebrated as Bhai Duj.
Diwali festival is regarded as festival of sweets and numbers of mouthwatering & delicious sweets such as Barfi , Pedas, Rasgullas, Laddos have prepared on this day.
